Raise a glass to Jill when you visit Jill's Woods at RT2017

Rhythmtree Festival is held at Three Gates Farm . The farm was owned by Jill.

Jill loved her farm more than words can say, mostly she loved seeing her friends and family enjoy it as much as she did. Always one for a party (especially one with live music), Jill was over the moon when the boys from Widget Productions first visited her in 2011 and suggested bringing this beautiful, family festival to her fields. Rhythmtree gave Jill the chance to see families relax and soak up the Rhythmtree vibe within the environment she most cherished.

Yesterday, 29th June, marked one year since Jill lost her brave battle with cancer. So if you're coming this year, please sit in her woods and raise a glass (plastic please!) to a lady who worked tirelessly her whole life to achieve a place where people loved to be.

No matter which way you like to shake your butt, Friday at Rhythmtree is guaranteed to get you twirling your best steps and throwing your favourite shapes. We’ll be getting our grooves into gear early in the evening with the not-to-be-missed steaming afro-funk of Togo’s Vaudou Game followed by the club-world mash up of the transformational Transglobal Underground and then the legendary Stereo MC’s really get things connected as they grace the mainstage and take us on a trip through their ecstatic club, hip-hop and chart classics.

We’re beyond excited to be able to wrap up Saturday mainstage’s perfect day with a perfect night as we welcome one of the UK’s greatest ever songwriters, Ian Broudie and his quintessential band, The Lightning Seeds. Things can indeed be marvellous.

Despite not playing the fame game like most of his Brit-pop contemporaries Ian Broudie’s skill in writing and producing wonderfully catchy and uplifting songs that have more than stood the test of time has secured his reputation as a truly great songwriter. ”Marvellous”, “Lucky You”, “Pure” “Perfect”, “Ready or Not” and the greatest football song ever “Three Lions” are all melodic mini-masterpieces and one of his earliest hits “The Life of Riley”, which was written for his son when he was just a toddler, now takes on an extra charm as Riley will be up on stage at Rhythmtree playing guitar alongside his Dad.

"To the left, to the right. Step it up step it up it's alright"

Closing our main stage on Friday we’re very excited to be welcoming hip-hop pioneers and “Best Live Act” Brit Awards winners Stereo MC’s. Renown for their stunning live shows Stereo MC’s took dance into the mainstream with their worldwide hits including “Step it Up”, “Ground Level”, “Creation” and, of course, their monster smash “Connected”. Stereo MC's are still as vibrant , energetic and funky live as ever they were so make sure you're connected and join us at the Rhythmtree main stage on Friday evening. It's going to be a big party!
